Racing Stripe

shrapnel chic.

This week I wanted to keep matters simple – with a little sparkle.

I used a blue-taupe base and striped it down the centre with a rose-pink glitter – quite a fun look I think.

Begin with base coat – two layers will do:

Then, using thin layers and a mostly dry brush, begin to streak the glitter across the nail. I started with quite a thin, sparse stripe of glitter and gradually added to it.

Make sure that the racing stripe doesn’t raise too far above the base coat, and seal everything together with top coat – boom.
